Each beginner student is expected to:
-
Practice approximately 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week
-
Bring their own dedicated "music" notebook, which will be updated weekly with assignments
-
Learn to use a guitar tuner and metronome
Though not all students desire to be a guitar shredder every student is required to learn some fundamental scales. Some younger students may initially need parental help with developing discipline for practice sessions.
I use several fantastic method books that help facilitate student practice time. They are fun, affordable, available locally, and help reiterate key aspects of guitar lessons.
